This policy explains how we collect, use, hold, disclose and protect the personal information we handle when you hire equipment from us, contact us, or use our website.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • Correspondence: any messages, enquiries, support requests or feedback you send to us by email, phone, SMS or our contact form.
  • Website usage data: anonymous information collected through cookies and analytics tools about how visitors interact with our website, including pages viewed, device type, approximate location and referral source. See the “Cookies and analytics” section below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, religious or political information) and ask that you do not send us this type of information unless it is specifically required.

  • Keep business records and comply with our legal and tax obligations.
  • Improve our website, services and customer experience.
  • Send you service-related updates, and (with your consent) occasional marketing information about our products and special offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.

We use:

  • Essential cookies that enable core website functionality such as session handling and your cart.
  • Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics collects information such as your device type, browser, approximate location (city-level, based on IP address), pages you view, time on page and referral source. This information is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some functionality of the site.

  • Payment providers to process payments and hold security deposits.
  • Delivery and logistics partners if we need to coordinate a specific delivery or pickup with a third party.
  • Technology providers who host our website, process bookings, send email, provide analytics (including Google), or otherwise support our business. These providers are only authorised to use personal information to perform services for us.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers and insurers, where reasonably necessary.

  • Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates.
  • Cloud hosting and email providers we use may store data in data centres located in Australia, the United States or the European Union.

Where personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle it in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes secure password-protected systems, restricting access to authorised personnel only, and using reputable service providers who maintain industry-standard security.

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and business records must generally be kept for 7 years). When personal information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.
